If you chart the volume of Google searches for the word 'porn' during the last five years, it follows a remarkably predictable pattern. From 2004-20012, the frequency of searches for 'love' actually declined. 'Sex' and 'porn' on the other hand became a lot more popular than 'love' with porn actually showing a dynamic rise. But in February 2009, 'porn' got bored. We think it was just the lull before the storm, as searches skyrocketed by end of 20010 and continued on its ascent in 2012.
